The snow-covered fields of the Groningen countryside are the location of a practically deserted campsite. Two lonely men play pétanque here. Hamid is a dejected refugee, Hilbert a lonely boy who is only too glad with the company. A third man, clearly a base criminal looking for a safe place to hide, causes some fireworks. Quite unexpectedly, the creep's visit leads to an embrace of life.
