In the fall of 2016, the Italian Daniele Gatti will starts his tenure as the new chief conductor of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra Amsterdam. The documentary follows him during the rehearsals for the opening of the new season. These images alternate with conversations in which the autonomous conductor talks about his origins and how his parents kindled his love of music. And about the long road he took from the Milanese suburb where he grew up to the top notch of the world of classical music.
