Experimental film study of looking up, down, back and forward, around the construction of the new Amsterdam film museum. From the viewpoints of a crane driver and a crane fanatic, featuring old footage from the EYE archives.

Crane operator Cor helps construct the new film museum EYE in Amsterdam. From his elevated vantage point, we watch all the building stages, while the ultramodern construction plays a visual game with one-century-old footage from the EYE archives. From the ground, construction crane fanatic Jurgen looks on. His field of vision intersects Cor’s. There is another dialogue in the audio, between new and old compositions. An examination of looking up, down, back and forward.
