After tank fire kills her relatives, the six-year-old Hind and her niece stay behind in a destroyed car in Gaza. Surrounded by tanks, they try to hold their ground. But the emergency services can only come to their aid if the army allows them to.
In the midst of the war in Gaza, Hind Rajab (6) and her family look for a safe place. But their flight is abruptly stopped by an Israeli tank opening fire without warning. When Hind and her niece appear to be the sole survivors of the onslaught, they find comfort in each other and dream out loud about a future that seems further and further away. First-time director Amir Zaza fled from a war situation in Syria himself and later attended the Netherlands Film Academy. He adapted this story, based on a true event, to come to terms with his feelings around the situation in Gaza.
