Musical comedy about the unmarried mother Babs (played by cabaret performer Brigitte Kaandorp), who lives above café Fritsies with her eight-year-old daughter Geert. Babs' life changes drastically when she finds a shoe under a viaduct that belongs to the Mafioso and nightclub owner Juan Carlos. It is love at first sight, but not for long: Juan Carlos is arrested by the police on suspicion of murdering his former girlfriend, a Russian dancer. In the meantime, Geert feels abandoned by her mother and starts searching for her 'father', Lee Towers. It turns out that the blond Karla (a double role by Kaandorp), the sister of Juan's right hand Citroen, also has amorous feelings for the charming Juan.
