Patches of light in a dark room. Flickering shades on the wall. Slowly, the patches turn into concrete forms: a hand, a piece of spun rope, a rotating spinning wheel. The soundtrack includes music fragments (including ‘Gretchen am Spinnrade’ by Franz Schubert), stamping horses, a train. Close-ups of a hand and foot, coarse-grained, out-of-focus images that are merely form, continuously moving.
