Amer Raya (14) is a Pakistani boxer who wants to be world champion. With four Moroccan kids, he trains every day in the Boxing '82 school in Rotterdam South. Trainer Frans van Heerik is like a father to the boys. He wants them to achieve something in life. But good boxers who come up from the young classes are few and far between. Frans thinks that young boxers tend to have a weak character or they are eventually taken away from him by a girlfriend. Amer could be a real winner: Frans thinks he is a great talent and could be an important boxer. In the documentary Amer Raya: de beste bokser van de wereld, we follow Amer and four Moroccans as they prepare for an important contest. Amer has to fight a boy who trains with the Dutch team and against whom he has fought before, but without a decision.
