Short psychological thriller, told from three perspectives, deals with a foreign worker in a slaughterhouse who intends to run off with his boss' wife and money. Alaska was Mike van Diem's graduation film at the Netherlands Film and Television Academy. Awarded with the 1989 Golden Calf for Best Short Film and one year later with the 'Student Oscar' in Los Angeles.
