Nordin Lasfar

Nordin Lasfar (1975) is a Dutch-Moroccan documentary filmmaker who has been making films for the Dutch public broadcaster for nearly twenty years. His work often operates at the intersection of culture, identity, and societal developments. In 2007, he made his debut at IDFA with his film Panna!, which was also nominated for Best Debut at the Netherlands Film Festival and acquired by international broadcasters such as Al Jazeera. From 2009 onwards, he worked as a freelance director for VPRO Tegenlicht, among others. For that program, he produced television documentaries, including Goudzoekers in Youtubeland, Schaliecowboys, and Alfamannen. Additionally, he currently advises the NPO Fund on documentaries.
