Joris Ivens

Joris Ivens (1898-1989) is internationally the most famous and through his political stands the most controversial Dutch documentary-maker of the twentieth century. From the start he was closely involved with the Filmliga and made over sixty films. For his work Ivens received among other awards the Golden Lion of the Venice Film Festival for his entire oeuvre.

Joris Ivens
