Bernardo Bertolucci

Bernardo Bertolucci (Italy, 1941) wanted to be a poet, but switched to cinema, where he started as an assistant to Pier Paolo Pasolini. His work has won numerous awards. In 2011, he received the Honorary Golden Palm in Cannes for his lifetime achievement.
