During a sultry summer vacation, thirteen-year-old Brian is stuck with caring for his older brother Lucien, who is severely mentally disabled. But how do you make the right choices when there is still so much to discover for yourself? Closing film NFF 2023.
Brian (13) and his indifferent father Maurice live in a shabby trailer. When the care provider offers a financial compensation for taking care of Brian’s four years older, severely mentally disabled brother Lucien during summer vacation, Maurice eagerly accepts it. While he works hard to repay his debts, the care falls on Brian’s shoulders. When the situation between Maurice and his creditors escalates and the trailer is no longer a safe place, Brian is forced to take a conscious decision: for his brothers welfare, but also his own.
