At a summer camp for children with cancer, eleven-year-old Lotte finds support and friendship among peers who understand her. Hoping to be ‘just Lotte’ again for a while, she cautiously tries to enjoy moments of carefree joy.
When Lotte learns she has cancer, her life suddenly revolves around hospitals, radiation and chemotherapy. Yet she tries to maintain a balance between the joy of being eleven years old and the challenges of her illness. During a summer camp, Lotte meets other children with cancer, finding support and enjoying herself for a while. Lotte is confronted with her illness on a daily basis; how does she manage to put her worries aside? A short documentary about the importance of being a child, especially in the hardest of times.
