After Siu ends her life, her sister begins to work through her artistic legacy in this intimate documentary set in Scotland. She uncovers secret audio recordings that paint a devastating portrait of mental health care in the Netherlands.
After the self-chosen death of her sister Siu, filmmaker Kiki Ho retreats to the remote Scottish hills. Surrounded by silence and memories, she begins archiving Siu’s extensive artistic legacy: photographs, paintings and diary fragments from psychiatric clinics. What starts as an act of preservation becomes a raw confrontation with grief, guilt and the failure of a mental health system that acted too late. This personal documentary follows the mourning process as it unfolded, captured in real-time: fragmented, unpredictable, unrelenting.
