Documentary about a nursing home that was sealed during the first Covid wave in March 2020. Via video calls, residents, staff and family stay in touch.
During the first Covid wave in March 2020, nursing homes inthe Netherland were hermetically sealed. As was Het Hendrickszhuys in Amsterdam. The visits by loved ones that residents yearned for were prohibited. Due to her fragile health, the manager had to work from home. Via a self-built 'Skypekar', residents and the care staff could safely stay in touch with the outside world. Via these intimate video talks, this short documentary offers a unique glimpse of a nursing home during the critical first Covid wave.
