When her father dies in a shipwreck, a teenage girl is determined to prove that the culprit is a mysterious creature haunting the depths of the sea.
In Domien Huyghe's first feature-length film, three North Sea fishermen die at sea under mysterious conditions. Rumours have it the captain is to blame. His teenage daughter Lena thinks the boat did not sink by accident, but nobody believes her. When she spots a large shadow gliding under the sea surface, she is convinced: a huge, unknown sea monster is hiding in the depths of the sea. She is determined to prove that the monster caused the fatal accident.
