A young couple sails around the world with their young son and is over the moon. Until fate strikes. Thirty-five years later, the former lovers meet again and only now they can jointly deal with the tragedy.
A complete and carefree idyll turns into an equally complete drama when a young couple in love goes on a sailing trip and loses their five-year-old child in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. In the wake of the tragedy, they also lose each other. Thirty-five years later, the two ex-lovers (now played by Gijs Scholten van Aschat and Elsie de Brauw) see each other again. The story about love lost, based on true events, was director Theu Boermans’ first feature film since 1000 Rosen (1994).
