Experimental costume drama based on the essay Of Cannibals by French philosopher Michel de Montaigne. In the woods, De Montaigne and his servant stumble upon a group of time travellers.
This original short film is set in the 16th century and tells the story of the fictional servant of the French philosopher Michel de Montaigne and their unconventional friendship. After spending a period overseas in Antarctic France, Jean Aurand is hired as a servant by Montaigne. One day during a joint walk in the woods near Montaigne's castle, the two stumble upon a group of time travellers with a mission, which will change their lives forever. But the encounter will also forever alter the course of history.
