Dutch concert pianist Wibi Soerjadi has reached an important crossroads in his life. One the one hand, he is the great piano talent who wants to renew his work. Taking Franz Liszt as his role model, he develops a revolutionary way of performing his classical pieces. In addition, he contributes to a dance song that soon becomes a number-one hit. On the other hand, Wibi is a family man who returns to his parental home and is confronted with the past. His father is struggling with Alzheimer’s disease. In this portrait, Soerjadi realises this may turn out to be the most emotional year of his life.
