The fear of being abandoned dominates the young life of Agathe (25). Dressed in a tigerskin dress with cowboy hat, she is looking for her female identity, but above all for love. She compares herself with three seductive women around her: her girlfriend Alexandra, her cousin Eve and her imaginary idol Vivelle. The fear that she will stay who she is drives her to the extreme. Off screen her situation is described by her boyfriend Olivier. Vive Elle was shot in Paris with a largely French cast. The film was made with the money won with the Citroën Award that Miriam Kruishoop was given in 1996 at the Nederlands Film Festival for her short third-year film Da Silva.
