Documentary about living with dementia, seen through the eyes of people suffering from the condition. The eight residents of the Iduna community in the De Bijster centre in Essen are in the first stage of the illness. Fits of lucidity, oblivion and absent-mindedness take constant turns. Some of them are painfully aware of the affliction, other hardly realise their conscience is gradually crumbling.
