Documentary about two farms in Zeeland where the fields are still tilled in a traditional Dutch way. Farmer Mol and his son Kees still plough their land on South Beverland with a team of powerful horses. There is also another farm on Walcheren where two farmers work with horses, not tractors. The sober way of life of these men and their effort look out of place these days. Their love of the horses means long days and hard work for a meagre pittance. Postma follows the men closely throughout a season. With a camera that registers most of the time, he follows them on the land, in the stable, at the vet, during inspection and at the traditional tilting at the ring.
