Vals licht

Director: Theo van Gogh
Feature film is a free adaptation of Joost Zwagerman's novel. Intrigued by the theme `falsehood', Van Gogh tells the story of a student, Simon (debuting actor Ellik Bargai), who becomes obsessed with the neurotic prostitute Lizzy (Amanda Ooms), and discovers that she is oppressed by characters from the underworld. When she suddenly vanishes, he starts a search and finds her in a brothel. There, her extortionists' ultimatum has almost run out.
