Solitary man in Amsterdam goes to the office. Contemporary metropolitan alienation, reflected in beautiful images of bare interiors and modern architecture of steel, glass and concrete.

Solitary Ulrich shows rather strange behaviour. When he gets up in the morning in his modern apartment, he walks around indecisively, driven by dogged perfectionism. He goes to the district office, where he sees his name is misspelled again. The conversations at his own office sound absurd, but meaningful. The alienation of modern society is reflected by images of sterile architecture and bare interiors.
