In our memory, everything is more wonderful, and we turn our lives into a great narrative. Do memories create such high hopes that the present disappoints us? And what is the value of capturing everything?
Film offers the possibility to perpetuate a fleeting moment and stop time. What is the value of what is captured? What are the consequences of romanticising memories? At the end of the first shooting day of this film, all the equipment has been stolen, including the memory card. The images are lost, and a reconstruction will never be as good. The light is not as beautiful anymore, nor are the words. An intimate glimpse into the creative process, with the makers being personally confronted with the theme.
