‘Blockchain’ is a term that appears in the news increasingly often, but what is it exactly and how does it affect our concept of trust? In this smartphone documentary, experts shed light on the phenomenon.
In Trust in the Blockchain Society, a documentary specially designed for smartphones, directors Leonardo Dellanoce and Francesco Degl'Innocenti explore the impact that blockchain technology has on our concept of trust. The documentary makes the complexity of the topic comprehensible in an innovative way: using the sensors of their smartphones, viewers can experience the documentary at their own pace and seamlessly switch between interviews on video and in text. Experts including internet pioneer Marleen Stikker, journalist Brett Scott and crypto-economist Shermin Voshmgir discuss the potential social consequences of the implementation of blockchain.
