In his latest experimental film, painter and sculptor Edward Luyken samples his art and his daily life. An illuminated news trailer reads: ‘Let me relieve your soul and dispel the demons.’
Since 1978, fine artist Edward Luyken has made experimental films with a prominent role for his paintings, sculptures and objects taken from his life. Accompanied by a film score and live music by the filmmaker, abstract sketches, amulets, bottles of cider and animated home movie excerpts file past in rapid succession in Traject. An evocative, ritual code, ending in fireworks and a mysterious dance in the woods.
