International co-production by René Seegers. In the summer of 1941, a small Jewish community in Eastern Europe threatens to fall victim to the advancing Nazi regime. The villagers devise a plan to build a fake deportation train to cross the Russian border to reach Palestine. Dressed up as German soldiers, deportees and high-ranking officers, they take their roles very seriously.
