Travel with visual artist Jan Rothuizen in this interactive documentary told across eight chapters: from the Love Motel and a grieving mother turned peace activist to the Queen of Cali.
Visual artist Jan Rothuizen travels to Colombia for an exhibition shortly after the signing of the country's historic peace agreement. What begins as a professional trip gradually becomes a deeply personal and emotional journey, during which he questions his own role as an artist. As he tries to understand the country, he explores not only Colombia itself but also the limitations of his own perspective as an observer. Blending documentary film with hand-drawn narrative maps, Rothuizen meets people across the country while tracing Colombia's history. How do Colombians experience their country after centuries of colonisation and decades of armed conflict? In this interactive documentary experience, you travel alongside Rothuizen at your own pace – rapido or tranquilo – exploring every detail of his richly annotated drawings and discovering the stories they contain.
