Music video of Swedish singer-songwriter Tove Lo, who in this personal song addresses the years when she contended with a racking eating disorder and a vicious circle of self-destructive thoughts.
Tormented by an obsession with her physique, the protagonist, Swedish singer-songwriter Tove Lo, is trapped in her tightly wrapped body. It feels like an isolation cell made of skin. The singer tries to break free from her self-destructive thoughts in saddening, empty, beige spaces. Here, she sings about control, calories and not being able to look in the mirror and see your true self. Even the costume design visually tells the story of the miserable straitjacket that eating disorders can be.
