What if, one day, you suddenly took a life-changing turn? Seventy-one-year-old regional taxi driver Sjef takes his regular passengers on a tragicomic journey towards independence and a fresh start.

When 71-year-old regional taxi driver Sjef gets fired, he decides to do something radical on his final ride. He takes a turn towards an unknown destination, with no plan in mind, bringing along a busload of his regular passengers in search of autonomy and zest for life. What follows is a tragicomic road movie starring Michiel Kerbosch, Erik de Jong (Spinvis) and Dries Smits, among others. Toutes Directions is a coming-of-age story about growing older and unexpected friendships.

Closing Film of NFF 2026
Toutes Directions is the closing film of the 46th edition of the Netherlands Film Festival. The film was directed by Noël Loozen (Spoetnik), who co-wrote the screenplay with Wessel van Wanrooij, Robin Alper, and Douwe Nagelmaker. 100% produced the film, and it is distributed by Paradiso Filmed Entertainment.

The film will have its world premiere on Wednesday, September 30, at the Stadsschouwburg in Utrecht. The cast and crew will also be in attendance at this festive evening, which is open to the public. Erik de Jong (Spinvis) is making his film debut and will give a short performance that evening featuring music written for the film.
