Coming-of-age drama about secretly infatuated children and a random act of fate. On a dreary summer’s day in 1974, teenagers Jonas and Daan devote themselves to a classmate gone missing.
Summer 1974. On the day after the lost World Soccer Championships final, the city is sweltering and deserted. Because most children in this Amsterdam suburb are on holiday, neighbours Daan and Jonas only have each other. The mystery of a classmate’s disappearance casts a dark shadow over the day. In this coming-of-age drama, the two boys from different social backgrounds find each other in a shared mission to locate the missing girl. Is this the beginning of a true friendship?
