According to an old prediction, an era of global harmony will start in 2012. The period until this Indian 'year 0' is characterised by a growing awakening, but also by a successive natural disasters.
From time immemorial, prophets have been notable for their gruesome predictions. Therefore it is encouraging that some four hundred shamans, from both American continents, offer a sunnier view of the future. Filmmaker Wiek Lenssen attended their gathering in the Amazon rainforest, where they predicted a golden era of global harmony for the year 2012. The period preceding this Indian 'year 0' is characterised by a growing awakening, but also by successive natural disasters. Lenssen portrays medicine man and rainmaker Don Julian and seer Wandering Wolf, both Mayan Indians from Guatemala. He structures their knowledge, thoughts and actions according to the Mayan 13-day week - from the 'day of the power to survive' to the 'day of the journey to the starting point' - using cinematographic references to the nature forces and showing a lot of sympathy for these stewards of the Earth.
