How do you rebuild family bonds when the memories have turned bitter? After two years in supported housing, Max returns to the outside world. But before he can truly be free, Max must first confront his mother.
This short documentary examines how memories play a role in sustaining strained family ties. The film follows Max, who ended up in supported housing after a period of drug use, but has since managed to get his life back on track. With a small job, he's just about keeping his head above water, while trying to get accepted into an art academy. Will Max be able to make the step towards a normal life? First, though, he must face one more challenge: confronting his mother.
