What if you can’t just comb through a video collection with your fingertips and search words, but with your whole body? Thanks to computer vision, you see yourself mirrored in scenes from the collection of historical films of the EYE Filmmuseum.

This interactive installation by Studio Louter deploys a so-called machine learning system, matching the user’s camera images with historical footage from over sixty films from the collection of EYE. From black-and-white classics and animations to short experimental films. Strike different poses, play with the composition and let yourself be surprised by your cinematographic reflection.
