In this debut film by former IFFR director Rutger Wolfson, a man undertakes both a physical and inner journey into the Liminal Zone, a borderland where transformation takes shape. Along the way, a memory of a woman confronts him with his self-destructive impulses.
An unknown fluid is pumped through a man's body as he drifts through a black, formless void. His eyes move restlessly, as if searching through inner landscapes – memories, dreams, fragments of who he once was. Eventually, he lingers on an encounter with an intriguing woman. She believes that every human carries the whole of humanity within them: both light and darkness. Then she vanishes abruptly. As the man searches desperately for her, his journey carries him through multiple dimensions, while the black void grows ever more menacing in this debut.
