The Light We Hold

Director: Andrea Hackl
A meeting between two women takes place in an extraordinary setting, remote yet intimate: within the dream of one woman, and the memory of the other.
A lighthouse is the central location in this artistic black-and-white film, a poetic ode to the power of human connection. Two women meet in a place that feels both familiar and strange. What seems like a dream to one woman is a memory for the other. What are these two women to each other? Sisters, lovers, friends? And why do they meet in this dream-like setting? And is it sometimes the dead who find it hardest to let go of the living?
