Imaginative documentary about people who as children were forced to learn how to remain unseen and unnoticed. The filmmaker sets out to create an invisible superhero for them. A tribute to unseen children as well as to the superpowers of ordinary people.
A woman who could keep quiet as a mouse during the war (but no longer does so), a man who since the darkness of being in hiding surrounds himself with hundreds of coloured lights, a boy that tells his story but should not be seen (and is visible on screen nonetheless). This documentary tells the stories of four children – some as old as 85 by now – who learned the art of remaining unnoticed, because at times their lives depended on it. By exploring how film, photography and television depict the unseen, this playful media experiment creates a superhero for invisible children.
