In a remote Afghan region, the life stories of a shepherdess, a bird catcher and a mourning teacher get entangled after their school burns down. The young shepherdess takes a huge risk by saving a female American soldier after a helicopter crash, the youthful bird catcher takes cover in an army tank with his birds, and the teacher vows revenge on the person who widowed her.
