Episode from a series of five television documentaries about soccer in Africa. In recent years many African players have left for Europe, but European coaches have also been brought to Africa to bring European expertise, discipline and techniques. Rinus Israel, once captain of Feyenoord and with many internationals to his name, was taken on as coach to the Ghanaian team. Completely unfamiliar with the country, the culture and most players, he tries to push the 'Black Stars' to achieve greatness in a few weeks and qualify for the World Cup. The film shows the arduous preparations for a match that, largely because of cultural differences, evokes much irritation especially with 'the white coach'.
