Hybrid short film by animator Paul Driessen and his son, live-action director Kaj. Seven brothers Grimm take turns inventing witty variations on famous fairy tales, visualised in animated form.
Paul Driessen made the animations; his son Kaj directed the actors of the hybrid short film. Seven brothers Grimm, all dressed similarly in a raincoat and hat, walk the street at night. One by one, they see something, which makes them invent a fairy tale. These witty variations on familiar folk tales have been animated in the vintage Driessen style, with its agile lines, splendid timing and black humour.
