Five dancers portray the hidden inner world of young male cancer patients. This multidisciplinary short film renders visible and tangible the in-between space during illness and recovery.
It’s sometimes called the in-between space – that elusive zone between illness and health, panic and calm, intimacy and fear, control and trust. A place where you are not fully sick, yet not fully healthy either. Where you exist between surviving and living, between uncertainty and regaining your grip. Five dancers embody this inner and physical struggle through an ever-shifting choreography. Movements flow from harmonious and structured to abrupt and unpredictable, ultimately resolving into a renewed rhythm of control and trust. In this way, this debut makes tangible what often remains unseen.
