Behind the professional mask of the care provider, someone with personal psychological issues may be hiding. Sometimes he or she needs a filming sister to break the taboo that prevails in healthcare: Health professionals themselves can be vulnerable too.
In this documentary, the filmmaker follows her sister, a psychologist. Despite the growing social trend to bring mental health issues into the open, within social services – notably among psychiatrists and psychologists – it remains a big taboo to openly discuss their personal mental vulnerability. Through the lens of the sisterly relationship between Juliette and Marcia, an intimate portrait emerges of a group of care providers who admit what many don’t dare to: that they too need help.
