Personal documentary by a thirty-something who wants to have a baby, and whose father suggests to her to 'just do it’. But is it ethical to make your bed partner a future father unasked and unplanned?
Janetta Ubbels (37) is a woman with the desire to become a mother. Her age makes it urgent. When her father, of all people, suggests to her to ‘just do it’, she asks herself as a filmmaker: Is it ethical to make a man a father unplanned? In this personal documentary, she talks to three men who had this experience. What was it like for them to suddenly become a father? Did they panic, did they feel shame or unexpected happiness in the face of this fait accompli?
