Portrait of Ted Langenbach, described in this documentary by himself and others as 'party guru', 'professor of late-night culture', 'the real night mayor of Rotterdam' and 'neo-eclectic clochard'. We follow Langenbach and his partner Petra from 2008 while setting up the new Watt club on the former Nighttown premises in Rotterdam. But between times, the film also addresses his notorious past as a booster of Rotterdam nightlife, which culminated in the Now & Wow club. From 2000 to 2007, this discotheque in the Rotterdam Maashaven was the international hotspot for the dance and house scene. Langenbach, who claims his clubs are his home, decorates his parties as a 'tableau vivant of music, film, visual art, fashion, lifestyle and design.' He put all his savings in Club Watt, envisaged as the culmination of the cultural vision of this 'master in the art of living'. But soon after the opening, featuring a concert by Iggy Pop, it turns out his 'new baby' is in financial trouble.
