By following an intensive program, 13-year-old Thijs hopes to overcome his stutter. But that turns out to be harder than expected. Will he manage to find his own voice?


Thijs is a charismatic teenager from the Westland region. He plays football, is a Feyenoord fan, and has a part-time job picking tomatoes in the greenhouses. Still, everyone around him seems to express themselves effortlessly, while Thijs’ stutter makes him struggle. Filmmaker Lante Kluiving graduated with this short documentary in which Thijs is frank about his feelings. Hoping to overcome his stammer, he begins an intensive treatment. But when change proves to be more difficult than expected, Thijs is confronted with the question why he actually wants to get rid of it.
