Fragments of rustling grass, the still wet paws of a new-born calf and a father overlooking his land. In intuitive and atmospheric scenes, this documentary sketches an intimate portrait of the day-to-day life on a farm and how an unexpected event changes it. In 2016, director Paul de Ruijter won one of the Wildcards of the Netherlands Film Fund and used the complimentary cash to realise this documentary about the place he grew up in.
