In this documentary, prominent scientists and politicians from the United States present their views of former president Reagan's Strategic Defence Initiative Programme, nicknamed Star Wars. The 'ultimate weapon' should defend the US against attacks by then public enemy number one: the USSR. Among the people introduced are a physicist who developed the hydrogen bomb and a space technologist who also writes science-fiction novels.
