Chef Emil fails to connect with his kitchen staff. When suddenly a younger sous-chef is appointed who seems to breathe new life into the kitchen, he feels his authority crumble.
Emil (46) runs a high-ranking restaurant on the Zeeland coast. His younger kitchen staff questions the skills and leadership of the once famous, but now toppled chef. When the talented sous-chef Jort (31) is unexpectedly appointed and is appreciated by the team, Emil feels his authority slip through his fingers. While Jort breathes new life into the kitchen, Emil makes a morally dubious attempt to restore 'order' and demonstrate his leadership. A satirical graduation film about fine dining and shifting social expectations.
