In Songs for a Passerby, Celine Daemen explores our relationship with transient reality. You walk through a virtual and musical landscape by yourself, passing different scenes: a dying horse, a choir of mumbling people, two dogs playing. Like a puppeteer of your own body, you experience this meditative quest, temporarily stepping out of reality and looking at yourself. This raises the question: how do we relate to a world of things that disappear? Winner of the Venice Immersive Grand Prize at the Venice Film Festival 2023.

In this VR opera, you follow your own reflection through a musical dreamscape. This feels melancholic: do you pass by moments, or do moments pass by you?
